Volvo out of commission

Well last week I wrecked the volvo - just one of those accidents you don’t see coming.  I was on my way to pick up Liam (he was not in the car) driving along centerline road which has a HUGE hill and deep ditch, when something jerked me into the ditch. It took awhile for the car to stop which seemed to going faster rather than slower down the hill. It stopped about 30 ft in front of the hunters creek bridge. I can’t believe I managed to avoid a number of large trees, and a telephone pole on the right side of the ditch. If I had been in any other car I think it would have easily flipped over. On the positive side, I had a full-service accident, a crew of 6 men who were working on the road saw it all happen and were all over the car when it finally stopped. 6 guys pearing into my windsheild almost freaked me out more than the accident itself! 2 guys helped me out through the window (my car was deep in the ditch) , one was inspecting the damage under the hood, one was collecting parts up the road, and the other was calling a tow and police car for me. They even offered a drink and seat in the A/C work truck.

The damage totaled 18k well over the value of the car. We’re test driving the Rav4 and Honda CRV this week and will buy something along those lines (little more baby friendly than an average sedan).

Here is a photo - the bottom of the car was completely wiped out:

At 3 months old now, Liam is allowed to try some rice cereal - thank god because he downs close to 40oz a day!

Moving on up…

Liam is now getting to the point where laying down is not very exciting - he LOVES to sit up in various seats we have for him.. here is one of his favorites:

(and yes, i’m aware how dumb I sound on this video:) )

Liam & James Baptized

This past sunday the boys were baptized at Holland United Methodist Church in Holland.  The ceremony was beautiful and the brunch afterwards with all our family was great.  Here is a photo of Liam in his Baptismal Romper:

CA Visitors

Sarah and James arrived from San Diego late Sunday night and are now babysitting Liam for the week. The little guys were invited to do a photo shoot for fisher price so we’re excited to take them. If they do well they may end up in a catalog or product box for a baby carrier!

Here is a cute photo of Liam zonked out on the bed.
